Crypto-asset service providers in Slovenia need authorization under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation from the Securities Market Agency (ATVP), while Banka Slovenije covers e-money token issuers. Slovenia chose one of the EU's shortest transition windows: its six-month grandfathering period ended on 30 June 2025, so unauthorized legacy providers can no longer operate.
