Crypto-asset services in Slovakia require authorization as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, and the National Bank of Slovakia has accepted applications since 30 December 2024. Legacy virtual currency exchange and wallet providers could rely on transitional arrangements only until 30 December 2025, and the NBS maintains a public register of authorized providers.
