Seychelles requires a license from its Financial Services Authority for any virtual asset service provided in or from the islands, under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act of 2024, in force since September 2024. The act defines four license categories, covering wallet provision, exchange, broking and investment services, and operating without a license is a criminal offence; the transition window for pre-existing operators closed on 31 December 2024.
