What Fawri / Fawri+ is
Fawri and Fawri+ are the two transfer speeds inside Bahrain's Electronic Fund Transfer System, which the BENEFIT Company operates under authorisation from the Central Bank of Bahrain and which links the kingdom's retail banks. Fawri+ is the near real time option: you supply the beneficiary IBAN and the amount, and the money arrives within 30 seconds, any hour of any day. Fawri is the slower, higher value option, settling within hours on official working days, and since October 2025 the central bank also settles Fawri transactions above BD 3,000 during public holidays.
