Buy the Trezor Safe 3 if you want a certified secure element and open source firmware for as little money as possible. Trezor sells it for $59, and it is the device the retired Model One now points buyers to.
It is a two button device with a 0.96 inch monochrome OLED screen and a USB-C connection, built around an EAL6+ certified secure chip and firmware anyone can read. PIN and passphrase entry happen on the device rather than on your computer, backups use the 12, 20 or 24 word standard with an optional Multi-share (Shamir) upgrade, and the same unit doubles as a FIDO2 security key. Coin management runs through Trezor Suite on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. On iOS the device is view only: Trezor's own spec sheet says there is no swap, send, setup or device management there.
Two things are worth knowing before you order. Trezor Suite's built-in Buy feature, run by its partner Invity, takes Visa and Mastercard almost everywhere and adds local rails such as SEPA across the EEA, UPI in India, PayNow in Singapore and PromptPay in Thailand, while Iran, North Korea and the US states of Hawaii, New York and South Dakota are excluded. And in August 2026 SecurityWeek reported a breach at ShipMonk, the third party firm that fulfils Trezor orders, exposing shipping details for about 14,000 customers. No keys or devices were involved, but a leaked list of people who bought a hardware wallet, with addresses attached, is exactly what a convincing phishing email needs.
If you want a touchscreen instead of two buttons, the Safe 5 is $129.

Yes. Trezor stopped selling the Model One and the Model T through its own e-shop on January 8, 2026, and the Model One product page now points buyers to the Safe 3.
What is the difference between the Trezor Safe 3 and the Safe 5?
Price and screen. The Safe 3 is $59 with two buttons and a small monochrome display. The Safe 5 is $129 and adds a 1.54 inch color touchscreen with haptic feedback, Gorilla Glass and a microSD slot. Both use the same EAL6+ secure element and the same open source firmware.
Can I use a Trezor Safe 3 with an iPhone?
Only to look. Trezor's own spec sheet says there is no swap, send, setup or device management on iOS, so an iPhone gives you a view only wallet. Full use needs Windows, macOS, Linux or Android.
Which countries does Trezor ship to?
