Bitcoin is fully legal in Norway. Though not an EU member, Norway adopted the EU's MiCA framework through the EEA: the Crypto Asset Act (Kryptoeiendelsloven) has applied since 1 July 2025, with Finanstilsynet, the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway, licensing and supervising crypto-asset service providers.
