Rewards were restructured in 2025-2026 under the Level Up program; the entry-level Basic tier now earns 0% cashback by default, down from the original 1-8% CRO tier ladder, and top CRO-lockup reward rates were cut again effective September 10, 2026.

Crypto.com Card is best understood as a rewards ladder you have to actively pay into, not a flat-rate cashback card, and the entry tier now earns nothing at all.

Since the September 2025 Level Up overhaul, the prepaid Visa program restructured its five legacy tiers (Midnight Blue, Ruby Steel, Jade Green/Royal Indigo, Icy White/Frosted Rose Gold, Obsidian) into four named plans: Basic, Plus, Pro, and Private. Basic is free but earns 0% cashback. Plus, at $4.99/month (or $500 in 12-month CRO lockup), unlocks 2% CRO cashback capped at roughly $25 of rewards per month. Pro, at $29.99/month (or $5,000 lockup), unlocks 3% CRO cashback capped at roughly $75 per month. The two Private tiers require locking $50,000 or $500,000 of CRO for 12 months with no subscription option, unlocking 4% and 5% uncapped CRO cashback respectively, plus the locked CRO itself earns separate staking or lockup yield (up to roughly 6.3% to 9% depending on the tier and timing). An invitation-only Prime tier requires a $1,000,000 CRO lockup for 8% uncapped cashback and a dedicated account manager.

A separate Crypto.com Visa Signature Credit Card, available only to US residents and issued by Comenity Capital Bank, uses its own Level Up tiers and pays up to 6% back in BTC or CRO (chosen in-app), with the entry Basic tier at 1.5% and Ruby Steel-equivalent Plus tier at 3.5%, subject to its own monthly caps for BTC redemption.

All CRO rewards are paid in CRO, a volatile token whose fiat value floats after crediting, and unstaking CRO after a lockup period reverts the account to Basic with 0% cashback until a new lockup or subscription is set up.

Reward tiers

Locked or staked CRO also earns its own separate yield (varying by tier and by whether the jurisdiction supports on-chain CRO Staking or the alternative CRO Lockup mechanism), on top of card cashback. Unstaking after the lockup period ends drops the account back to Basic and 0% card cashback.
