What is Pago Móvil?
Pago Móvil is Venezuela's interbank mobile payment scheme. It sends bolívares between accounts at different banks using the recipient's phone number rather than an account number, and it covers person to person, person to merchant and merchant initiated payments. Transactions route through the national interbank switches, CONEXUS among them, and the Banco Central de Venezuela sets the ceiling on what banks may charge for it.
