Where to sell and how the money comes out
| Exchange | Withdraw to | Fee | Speed | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kraken#2 in the buying guide | SPEI | 0.5% of the withdrawal, 150 MXN minimum | near instant |
"Not recorded" means the exchange's page we read carries no figure for that cell; the fee on the sale itself is separate and is on each review.
The payout rails in Mexico
SPEI
Paid out by Kraken.
SPEI, the Sistema de Pagos Electronicos Interbancarios, is Mexico's interbank electronic transfer system, administered and operated by Banco de Mexico. Banks, brokerages and other regulated institutions use it to move pesos between accounts held at different institutions, and it is the rail behind an ordinary peso transfer sent from a Mexican banking app. Mexican exchanges use it for peso deposits and withdrawals.
The rail itself: Banxico's SPEI rules require a receiving bank to credit a low value transfer within five seconds, at any hour on any day, with a thirty second limit for other participants during the 06:00 to 18:00 window on banking days.

Is selling bitcoin legal in Mexico?
Bitcoin is legal for individuals and businesses in Mexico, governed since 2018 by the Fintech Law, whose Article 30 states that virtual assets are not legal tender. Banco de Mexico's Circular 4/2019 bars banks and regulated fintech institutions from offering crypto services to their clients, so the market runs through dedicated crypto platforms rather than banks. The CNBV handles financial licensing and the tax authority expects gains to be declared.
