About Quantum Solutions
Quantum Solutions distributes GPUs. It resells NVIDIA chips and servers into Japanese AI projects, and has done business since 1999. On 23 July 2025 it announced a bitcoin treasury programme aiming at 3,000 coins within twelve months, worth over $350 million at the time, which would have made it the second largest corporate holder in Japan.
The scaffolding was real: $10 million of initial funding from Integrated Asset Management (Asia) Limited in Hong Kong, and a collaboration with TDX Strategies covering trade execution, custody and market risk.
The outcome was different. The company built an ether position large enough to rank eleventh among corporate holders by October 2025, then by mid 2026 began selling crypto, including 1,000 ETH for $1.9 million, to fund an AI data centre business. Its bitcoin balance stands at about five coins. The treasury became a bridge to a capital expenditure programme rather than a destination.
