About Bit Digital

Bit Digital held 417.6 bitcoin and 24,434 ETH at the end of March 2025. In June that year it announced it was becoming a pure play Ethereum staking and treasury company, raised about $172 million in a public offering, sold roughly 280 coins, and put the proceeds of both into ether.

The destination is much larger than the origin: about 100,603 ETH by July 2025, 155,444 by March 2026 and 158,461 by June, which makes it one of the biggest corporate ether holders anywhere. It also began a strategic alternatives process for the bitcoin mining business itself, expecting a sale or wind down with the proceeds redeployed into ether.

The four coins recorded here are what survived that conversion. Nothing suggests they are being added to, and the company's own disclosure treats ether, not bitcoin, as its treasury asset.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Bit Digital still appear in a bitcoin treasury table?

Because trackers list any public company with a bitcoin balance, however small. Bit Digital exited bitcoin as a treasury asset in 2025 and moved to ether. The four coins here are a leftover, not a position, and the company should be read as an ether holder that used to mine bitcoin.
