What is QR payment?
In Bolivia, QR payment means scanning an interoperable QR code from your bank app or a licensed mobile wallet. The Banco Central de Bolivia publishes the standard, QR BCB Bolivia, and requires participants to accept it, so a code generated by one bank, cooperative or wallet can be paid from any other; ASFI supervises the institutions that issue it.
