What is PayPal?

PayPal is a digital wallet and payment service operated by PayPal Holdings, Inc. You link a bank account, a debit card or a credit card, or hold a balance in the account, then pay merchants and send money to other PayPal users without handing over your card details each time. It works in most countries and is accepted at a large share of online checkouts, which is where an exchange that supports it will meet you. Speed

A PayPal payment posts to the recipient's account straight away, while moving money back out to your own bank is either the free standard transfer or a faster Instant Transfer that costs extra.

Cost

PayPal's US schedule charges no fee for a domestic payment funded from your PayPal balance or a linked bank account, 2.90% plus a 0.30 USD fixed fee when a debit or credit card funds a personal payment, and a 3.00% to 4.00% spread whenever currency is converted.

Limits

An Instant Transfer out to a bank is capped at 25,000 USD per transaction, and its 1.75% fee is capped at 25.00 USD with a 0.25 USD minimum.
