What is GoPay?

GoPay is an Indonesian electronic money wallet issued by PT Dompet Anak Bangsa, part of the GoTo group, licensed and supervised by Bank Indonesia. You hold a rupiah balance in the GoPay or Gojek app and spend it through QRIS codes, in app payments, bill payments and transfers to banks and other wallets. It is topped up from a bank account, a linked card or an agent, and is one of the common ways to fund a rupiah account at a local exchange.

Cost

Bank Indonesia rules cap the stored balance at Rp 2,000,000 for an unregistered account and Rp 20,000,000 for a registered one, so register the wallet before funding an exchange.
