Where this comes from
Derived from Bitpanda's help-centre article Countries supported for verification, read on 6 September 2026. It is an inclusion table of 46 ticked countries and territories, and the page treats it as complete: it tells the reader to check the list to see if their country is supported, says verification is only possible in certain countries for regulatory reasons, and names Argentina, absent from the table, as a country where verification is not available. 42 of the 46 names match this site's roster; Aland Islands, Faroe Islands, Svalbard and Jan Mayen and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have no roster page, so every other roster country counts as unsupported. Two footnotes qualify rows without removing them: France is ticked but phone numbers from overseas France (DOM-TOM) are not accepted, even though Reunion carries its own tick, and the United Kingdom is ticked with a note that UK residents can once again register through Bitpanda Broker UK Ltd. The companion article Who can use Bitpanda? and the User Agreement dated 8 July 2026 add that anyone based in the United States, or a citizen of it or of a country under UN, EU, US or UK sanctions, cannot open an account. The list here is derived from https://support.bitpanda.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013898239-Countries-supported-for-verification, read on 6 September 2026.

Is bitcoin legal in Niger?
Bitcoin is not banned in Niger, but it is entirely unregulated. Monetary policy is set regionally by the BCEAO, the central bank of the West African Economic and Monetary Union, which has no crypto framework in force; its leadership describes crypto assets as neither currencies nor regulated financial products and says regional rules remain in preparation. Users therefore operate without local legal protection.
