Norwegian Block Exchange bitcoin holdings
Adopted a treasury partly to be investable: Norwegian mandates that can only buy listed local companies now have a way to hold bitcoin.

Cumulative bitcoin held after each disclosed event. The line steps rather than slopes because treasury positions change on purchase dates, not continuously.
We have one dated figure for Norwegian Block Exchange so far, shown in the table below, and the table says where it came from. A chart needs at least two dated points, and we would rather show nothing than draw a trend through a single figure. This fills in as the company publishes, or as we backfill its earlier announcements.

About Norwegian Block Exchange
NBX is a licensed Nordic cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2018. On 2 June 2025 it put bitcoin on its own balance sheet, becoming the first publicly listed bitcoin treasury company in Norway.
Its stated reasoning includes a motive almost nobody else spells out. Alongside operational efficiency, the company said the holding would attract capital that wants bitcoin exposure but has a mandate restricted to Norwegian publicly listed companies. That is a real constraint for Nordic institutional money, and a listed holder is the workaround.
NBX is also positioning as the sole European issuer of a MiCA compliant stablecoin on Cardano, so the treasury sits inside a regulated exchange business rather than beside an unrelated operating company.
