What is Moov Money?
Moov Money is the mobile money wallet of the Moov Africa mobile networks, the African operating companies of the Maroc Telecom group. It is licensed country by country as an electronic money service: the BCEAO's register of West African electronic money institutions lists Moov Money SA in Benin and a bank partnership carrying Moov Money in Burkina Faso, and the same brand runs in Chad, Gabon, Mali, Niger and Togo. You load cash at an agent or a Moov shop and then approve payments from the handset with a PIN, which is how a local counterparty or a registered merchant account gets funded.
