What is CliQ?

CliQ is Jordan's instant payment system, owned and operated by JoPACC, the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company, under the supervision of the Central Bank of Jordan. It moves money between accounts at participating Jordanian banks and mobile wallets using an alias, which can be a mobile number, an email address or a chosen alias name, instead of a full IBAN. Banks expose it inside their own mobile apps, and it also carries request to pay and the return of a payment you were sent. It is the normal way to send Jordanian dinars between people and to registered merchants.

Speed

Transfers go through around the clock, in a matter of seconds, including outside banking hours and at weekends.

Cost

Pricing is set by your bank rather than by the scheme, and some Jordanian banks charge nothing on personal accounts: Jordan Ahli Bank advertises zero fees on retail accounts.

Limits

Each participating bank sets its own per transaction and daily ceilings, so the cap that applies to you comes from your bank rather than from CliQ itself.
