Binance.US review
Binance.US is the American affiliate of the global Binance exchange, operated since 2019 by BAM Trading Services as a separate company under its own licenses; the global platform we review separately does not serve US residents at all. On price nothing in the US comes close: spot trading costs 0% maker and 0.02% taker on most pairs for every user, with a further discount for paying fees in BNB, and ACH deposits and withdrawals are free.
The history needs stating plainly. The SEC sued Binance, its founder, and BAM Trading in June 2023, and banking partners pulled back, forcing Binance.US to run crypto-only for nearly two years while its market share collapsed. The case was dismissed with prejudice in May 2025, and USD services returned in February 2025 with free ACH transfers, followed by wire deposits and withdrawals. The rebuilt platform works, but its liquidity and product depth remain thinner than Coinbase, Kraken, or Gemini.
Coverage is the other catch. Binance.US does not accept residents of twelve states: Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, and Washington. In Kansas and Wisconsin it operates crypto-only, with no USD deposits or bank linking at all. If it serves your state and you care mostly about fees, it is the cheapest venue in the country; if you want the deepest books or the widest funding options, it is not.

Frequently asked questions
Is Binance.US the same as Binance?
No. Binance.US is operated by BAM Trading Services, a separate American company running under US state licenses. The global Binance exchange does not accept US residents, which is why the two are reviewed separately here.
Which states can I not use Binance.US in?
Twelve states are excluded: Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Vermont, and Washington. Kansas and Wisconsin are served crypto-only, with no USD deposits or bank linking.
What happened with the SEC lawsuit?
The SEC sued Binance, its founder, and BAM Trading in June 2023, which cost Binance.US its banking rails and most of its volume. The case was dismissed with prejudice in May 2025, and USD services had already returned that February.
Can I deposit dollars on Binance.US?
Yes, in the states it serves fully: ACH deposits and withdrawals are free, and wire transfers are supported. The exceptions are Kansas and Wisconsin, where the platform is crypto-only and dollars cannot be deposited at all.
